I’ve worked as a dramaturg for six years, collaborating with British and international playwrights, including on attachment at the Royal Court Theatre, National Theatre Studios, and New Earth Theatre. I have read for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting and teach playwriting at East 15 Acting School and have over 13 years experience as a director, including developing new writing and devising. A dramaturg’s role adapts to each project. I support writers from inception to workshopping with actors, and offer dramaturgical consultancy in rehearsals, whether through ongoing collaboration or occasional check-ins.
Writing a play can be a solitary process. It’s easy to feel lost in your own work, unsure of what’s landing, or uncertain about what comes next. Sometimes, you don’t just need notes—you need a conversation. A space to reflect, exchange ideas, and clarify your vision.
I offer dramaturgical support tailored to wherever you are in your writing process. Whether you're refining a draft, looking for structural clarity, or trying to uncover the heart of your play, I work with you to:
✔ Find clarity in your script and creative intentions
✔ Identify what’s working and where deeper exploration is needed
✔ Provide detailed feedback on form, structure, and character
✔ Define clear, actionable next steps for your next draft
✔ Develop your work through dialogue, not just notes
This is a collaborative process—one that allows space for discovery, problem-solving, and strengthening your play in a way that stays true to your artistic vision.
My approach is meticulous, specific, and strategic, shaped by an international perspective and a commitment to bold, innovative storytelling.
If you’d like to explore how we might work together, I offer a 20-minute conversation to discuss your play, your needs, and any questions you might have.
